Winter is fast approaching; semester is in full swing. So what interesting facts and figures can I tempt you with this issue to warm the cockles of your hearts?
We'll have a look at how the ANU went against its targets in 2007; we answer the question, "How did the 'Writing an Academic Paper' seminar go?"; we meet two new faces in Statistical Services; and what's that about a national conference ANU will be hosting in November?

And what of our wintry prospects? The autumn leaves outside the Law Building are definitely hinting at a change of season.

ANU to host the 18th AAIR Annual Forum

From 19 to 21 November 2008, ANU and its organising partners will be hosting the AAIR Annual Forum at the Hyatt Hotel, Canberra. Confirmed keynote speakers are Ms Leanne Harvey, General Manager, Research Excellence Branch, Australian Research Council and Professor Tim Brown, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research), La Trobe University. AAIR 2008 Seminar 'Writing an Academic Paper'

The ANU in conjunction with AAIR held a one-day seminar on 'Writing an Academic Paper' on Wednesday 12th March at University House. Feedback from all of those participating was generally very positive with 57% of respondents giving it a 'highly effective' tick of approval. MORE >>

2007 Enrolments, Teaching Load and Completions Pivots on Unistats

The 2007 Enrolment, Teaching Load and Completions pivot tables are now available from the Unistats website. You will find a full year detailed load pivot table as well as 2003-2007 times series of load and 2002-2007 time series of enrolments as pivot tables. Completions are shown in a time series from 1988 to 2007. MORE >>
