in the categories of research intensity, student demand, graduate satisfaction and graduate starting salary. Federal Budget 2009-2010The May Federal Budget proposed that the caps on Commonwealth-supported domestic places be lifted in 2012. What will this mean for ANU up until then and then afterwards? COG an information sharing groupThe Consultative Operations Group (COG) was established in March 2009 to draw together the various staff within the ANU who have a broad insight into planning at ANU. MORE >> survey resultsAustralian Bureau of Statistics Research & Development (R&D) Survey 2009Every two years the ABS run the national Research and Experimental Development Survey to capture all the research undertaken in Australia. ANU has just submitted its data for 2008. See how that compares to 2006. MORE >> Graduate Destinations Survey 2008The latest results of the Australian Graduate Survey show excellent full-time employment outcomes in all disciplines for our domestic bachelor graduates. When compared to the national rates of graduate employment, all ANU disciplines had stronger employment figures. Medicine and Social Sciences performed particularly well with 100% full-time employment rates. MORE >> Course Experience (CEQ) and Postgraduate Research Experience (PREQ) Survey 2008Results from the 2008 Course (Program) Experience Questionnaire and the Postgraduate Research Experience Questionnaire show that our students are very satisfied with their programs. Undergraduate and Postgraduate coursework graduates have rated ANU at its highest level in over five years on all scales (Good Teaching, Generic Skills, Intellectual Motivation, Graduate Qualities and Overall Satisfaction) with ratings higher than the Group of Eight and National results. MORE >> Australasian Survey of Student EngagementDuring August, Statistical Services are administering the 2009 Australasian Survey of Student Engagement (AUSSE) to a sample group of undergraduate students. The AUSSE is a survey run by the Australian Council for Educational Research and is designed to gather information about our students' involvement with the University. MORE >> National First Year Experience Survey 2009A sample group of First Year students at ANU have been invited to participate in the 2009 National First Year Experience Questionnaire. This is a survey conducted by the Centre for the Study of Higher Education at the University of Melbourne, and has been conducted every five years since 1994. This survey will provide valuable benchmarking information about our first year students, compared to the sector. Ten years down the track, the Process unites 46 European countries in their commitment to the goals of the European Higher Education Area.
