Program Experience Questionnaire (CEQ)

Twice yearly, ANU surveys all its graduates to collect information about their perceptions of their ANU program experience. Survey results are then compiled annually, and contribute to a national dataset available for quality improvement initiatives, reporting and benchmarking purposes.

Coursework students are surveyed using the national Course Experience Questionnaire (CEQ) labelled at ANU as the Program Experience Questionnaire. The CEQ comprises the following scales:

  • Good Teaching (6 questions)
  • Generic Skills (6 questions)
  • Graduate Qualities (6 questions)
  • Intellectual Motivation (4 questions)
  • Overall Satisfaction (1 question)

Recent CEQ results (Pivot Tables)

The following pivot tables facilitate user-driven selections of CEQ data, with the capacity to drill down into the individual questions within each scale. The first pivot table contains only ANU data, and can be filtered by ANU Programs. The second pivot table contains ANU, Group of Eight (Go8) and national data by discipline. If you are unfamiliar with the manipulation of Pivot Tables, please email evaluations with your requirements for a static table.

CEQ Comments analyses

Open-ended comments relating to Best Aspects and Needs Improvement are collected and anonymised for use by Colleges and Program Convenors. Anonymised comments for multiple years can be accessed by emailing evaluations with your College and/or Program requirements. The following two reports present quantitative analysis of the open-ended comments, including the most important themes and positive/negative comment ratios.
