ANU Higher Degree Research Exit Survey

The ANU Higher Degree Research Exit Survey is administered throughout the calendar year to Higher Degree Research candidates who have recently submitted their thesis. The HDR Exit Survey measures aspects of the HDR experience, including:

  • the quality of ANU's research environment
  • the quality of ANU's research supervision
  • candidates' participation in research-related professional development
  • and support received for research dissemination

The HDR Exit Survey is administered primarily via an online questionnaire. The paper version of the questionnaire can be found here (PDF, 49KB)

Full results, including all anonymised open-ended comments, are distributed anually to the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research and Research Training), Deans and Associate Deans (HDR) and members of the Higher Degree Research Committee. ANU results are also provided to CHELT to inform their research supervision training programs.
