ABS Research and Development Data Collection, 2009

The ABS Research and Development biannual figures have been released! In 2006 ANU spent $422.9 million on R&D. ARC grants increased by 32% to $19.6 million. Pure Basic Research at ANU accounted for 43% of R&D expenditure compared to the national average of 27%. more >>

Assuming current rates of participation, present fertility rates (1.8), net overseas migration and life expectancy, the nation’s student population - which has just cracked through the 1,000,000 mark in the last two years - is projected to grow by another 500,000 in the next 50 years. more >>
